This paper is a result of several weeks of work with my children, five-year-old twins. Though the title theme is more of pedagogical nature – how I can personally influence my son's motivation, it is also linguistic, as it gives an account of linguistic issues of concern (questions of motivation to learn a language and attitudes towards it).
