Microarray expression analysis of primary Dupuytren´s contracture cells
In our research we studied gene expression in primary cell cultures cultured from affected palmar fascia in comparison with patient matched non-affected fascia by use of Affymetrix whole-genome microarray platform. Differentially expressed genes identified in our study might be responsible for pathological changes and rise of typical Dupuytren’s contracture .symptoms. RT-PCR method has been employed for validation of microarray results. Expression of ten genes correlated with obtained microarray data. Especially, up-deregulation of six genes involved in signal transduction pathways that might be responsible for changes in the extracellular matrix and development of palmar contracture have been observed. Our results complement current knowledge on gene expression patterns of Dupuytren’s contracture.
