Human Resource Management in the Function of the Tourist Sector Development of the Republic of Croatia
Human resources problems have a strategic importance and therefore they require particular attention and involvement of the highest management of every organisation in the process of decision making about some activities and functions of the human resources systems. The human resources as the key success factor of the hotel and tourist companies have been presented in the work-paper, and the characteristics of the human resources management system of that segment of Croatian economy have been established by means of polling research. In harmony with the trends and the human resources new philosophy which are present on the world market and which are applied by the most successful companies, it has been endeavoured to give directions and suggestions for the development of efficient human resources management and development in the tourist sector of the Republic of Croatia.
