Hemolymph biochemistry profile of three decapod crustaceans
The study thoroughly examines the hemolymph biochemistry profiles of the three comercially important decapod crustaceans: spiny lobster Palinurus elephas (Fabricius, 1787.), spider crab Maja squinado (Herbst, 1788) and warty crab Eriphia verrucosa (Forskal, 1775). The aim of the study is to examine and standardize the hemolymph biochemistry profile in each species and detect the differences between them as well. The following parameteres have been examined: TP, CHOL, TRIG, GLU, BUN, CREA, ALP, CK, AST, GGT, LDH, Ca, Mg, Cu, Zn. The levels of the biochemical parameteres differed between the 3 species. Maja squinado significantly differed from Palinurus elephas (P<0.05) in the levels of LDH, CHOL, TRIG, BUN ; GLU, Ca, Mg, Cu i Zn., and from Eriphia verrucosa (P<0.05) in the levels of LDH, CK, TP, CHOL, TRIG, BUN ; GLU, Ca, Cu i Zn. Palinurus elephas significaly differed from Eriphia verrucosa (P<0.05) in the levels of CREA, TP, GGT, CHOL, TRIG, BUN ; AST, GLU i Cu. The three crustaceans were succesfully distinguished using the mathematical data mining method which uses the algorithms from maachine learning methods. The accuracy of the random forest algorithm is 89, 63 % and from the decision trees algorithm is 86, 31 %.
