Ethnic identity development and perceptions of future barriers during early adolescence

This research investigates the relationship between awareness of one's ethnic identity and perceptions about the extent to which future career and academic opportunities may be negatively affected by membership in an ethnic minority group. Research was conducted with African American, Asian American, and Latino adolescents.
