The development of weaving machines is based on an increase in production, automation and quality, and the rationalization of energy consumption. The result of this is lower labor costs, increased safety in the workplace, greater flexibility and reliability and possible remote process control. It was found that some newer weaving systems are not developed further as well as some phases of the fabric production. The development of Jacqaurd weaving machines without harness presents one of the greatest novelties today in the production of fabrics. Weaving machines for specific purposes, particularly for technical fabrics, such as weaving the fabric in combination of perling weave with other weave types, are developed. An increase in the speed of weaving machines is not a priority, more emphasis is given to the quality of workmanship and the flexibility of machinery, which confirms a new weaving machine made by the Company Smit Textile with one rigid rapier for faultless weaving various weft threads made from the finest to the coarsest fancy yarns. Textile CAD / CAM systems are generally modularly built and cover dobby and Jacquard weaving and other textile fields. Systems for dobby and Jacquard weaving are complemented with 3D simulation of the fabric in real fabric density with the inclusion of all structural parameters so that fabrics look more realistic.
