Intensity-dependent micro-Raman and photoluminiscence investigations of CdSxSe(1-x) nanocrystallites
Micro-Raman and photoluminascence measurements were carried out on a CdSxSe1-x nanocrystallite-doped glass as a function of the excitation laser power, The experiments were performed with excitation wavelengths, which are either resonant or off resonant with respect to the lowest electronically excited state. The experimental results are discussed while taking into account the complementary information obtained from both the Raman and the photoluminescence spectra. The model assumed is concerned with. the mechanism of photodarkening as well as with the participation of biexcitons createdunder strong laser illumination. The results obtained from the Raman spectra could be described as in conformance with those from the luminescence spectra.
