The Critical Period Hypothesis in Adult Language Learning
The thesis presents an overview of existing linguistic theories realtive to the critical period hypotehsis (CPH). Departing from FLA, SLA and psycholinguistic premises and evidence, the author tries to looks at different arguments for and against the CPH. The thesis also includes a Glossary of CPH and related terms, with a proposal of Croatian translations (i.e. an Index of Croatian terms), which represents a welcome addition to the Croatian terminological FLA/SLA corpus.
