International Experience. Abstract proceedings of the 1st Japanese-Croatian Project Workshop

This book presents proceedings of abstract from the first workshop of the project Bilateral Japanese-Croatian Project SATREP (FY2008) “Risk Identification and Land-Use Planning for Disaster Mitigation of Landslides and Floods in Croatia“ entitled ‘International Experience’, held in Dubrovnik (Croatia) in November 2010. This workshop was an opportunity for scientists in the fields of geological and geotechnical engineering and risk management to share and increase knowledge through presentations of their work and research. The total number of project participants was 44: 18 project members from Japan and Croatia ; and 26 guest scientists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia. The workshop addressed a range of topics in the fields of investigation of the project members and regional guest experts from eight universities, two geological surveys and four institutes.
