Multifractality of lyotropic liquid crystal formation
The molecular organization in lamellar mesophases was proposed on the basis of dynamic and static light scattering, polarizing and transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction measurements. The basic symmetries of the dynamics of formation and structures of the lamellar bilayers and multilayers of the surfactants of alkylbenzenesulphonate series were found to be consistent from the beginning of the precipitation process from a homogeneous solution until the aggregation to the macroscopic aggregates, due to the self-similarity.
