List of the historic record of dragonfly species in Croatia (Insecta: Odonata)

Published record of dragonflies on todays territory of Republic of Croatia are very scarce. First papers were published in 1830 s (Brittinger 1850, Brauer 1856, Fraunfeld 1856), and last contribution to the list of dragonflies of Croatia was published almost century and the half after the first one (Franković 1997). The collected data reveals 72 species, seven of them being considered as doubful records. Most of the published papers brought out small number of species as well as localities. The mayority of the data can be found in the works which deals not only with dragonflies but whole fauna of some region or entomofauna in broader sense.
