Načini liječenja displazije kukova u pasa
Canine hip dysplasia (CHD) is a complex, multifactorial, progressive and most frequent orthopaedic heritable disease in dogs. Treatment options are divided into conservative and surgical. Conservative options include medical treatment and physical therapy. Medical therapies encompass three main groups of medicaments: non-steroid anti-infl amatory drugs (NSAID), chondroprotectants and nutraceuticals. Surgical treatments are divided in preventative procedures, conducted on patients younger than 10 months, in corrective procedures aimed to correct deformed hips due to degenerative changes, and in palliative procedures, aimed to eliminate or reduce pain.
