Digital test priniting

In the past few years, there has been a rapid increase in interest and research in textile ink jet printing, especially because of its ecological suitability. However, there are still many problems to be solved (due to specific structure of the fabric, textile printing is much more complex than paper prinring. Choosing the digital input and output devices that will minimise the loss of information during the RGB towards CMY conversion, will assure a good quality of reproduction. To test the possible quality of reproduced image, test prints of primary CMY colours of jour different ink - jet paper printers were made as a basis for discussion of the capabilities and limitations of existing paper print engines for application to textile printing. Colorimetric parameters measured on printed samples indicate that ink jet printers with piezoelectric technology, are more suitable for textile digital printing.
