Sažetak
Watershed management on the karstic areas are usually very complex task, especially flood and pollution protection. Application of system sciences and integrated approach can support and improve management processes. This paper shows how integrated approach, system analysis and multicriteria decision making process helps stakeholders and politicians to evaluate management strategy. Complex environmental, social and economic conditions demand that the problem has to be solved considering larger number of alternative solutions with different technical and technological characteristics, as well as socio-economic and environmental impacts. It is showed that application of such approach in watershed problems of karstic Vrgorac Field is approved. Starting form the six basic strategy approaches and eight cumulative criteria the best compromises (solutions) are evaluated. The results of multicriteria analysis create good basis for further detailed evaluation.
