Effects of the teacher-training programme: 'Education of teachers for the acceptance of pupils with special needs'

Educational integration in the Republic of Croatia has been underway for almost 20 years, but some of the most important prerequisites of integration have still not been fulfilled. One such prerequisite is the positive attitude of teachers toward integration. Because it is known that changes in attitudes can be achieved through cognitive and emotional behaviour, a teacher-training programme called "Education of teachers for the acceptance of pupils with special needs" has been created. After the programme was conducted using a sample of participants, the changes in the experimental and control group were compared using a discriminate analysis of the differences between the results of the initial anf final examinations.
