An inscription to Fortuna from Aquae Iasae, dedicated by a centurion from Oescus
An inscribed altar to Fortuna Augusta from Aquae Iasae (Varaždinske Toplice, Croatia), set up by a centurion from Oescus (Gigen, Bulgaria) is considered in terms of its religious and social background. It is here presented as a case in point of a persistence of religious affiliations as transferred from one province – Lower Moesia, into another – Upper Pannonia.
