Deviations in Computers Models
): In the last decade personal computer has became powerful for serious appliance in a Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Manufacturing (CAM). The first steps in two-dimensional drafting on a computer are far behind so parametric and feature based on a CAD/CAM programs are taking place. Therefore, many of algorithms have been developed for more precise description of model i.e. description of product. Nevertheless, importance of deviations and tolerances is unattended in most of the programs. Models created in a CAD program are mainly ideal with the perfect sizes, angles, planes and other relevant features. Such models are quite different from the real products obtained on the end of production process. Therefore is likely to talk about imperfect computer model due to neglecting of imperfections in the process of production. Insufficiency of standardized mechanisms for input of tolerances in a CAD product model necessitate human expert help in model data transfer to the CAM program and in composing of manufacturing technology and in attuning work data with required tolerances. Human help is also indispensable on the end of production process in product quality control to read required tolerances and set it in robotic measuring equipment. Complete a CAD product model with included tolerance data would simplify data transfer from one phase to another. Therefore, the first in this writing is given overview of established types of CAD/CAM models and discussed their convenience for implementing mechanisms for input of tolerances. Secondly are induced and criticized existent mechanisms for input of tolerances and proposed approaches in development of such mechanisms. Eventually it is emphasized multiplicity of CAD/CAM programs and their possibilities which has been generated several different languages for the computer model or product description. Every language has its benefits but all of it has the same weakness: neither of it isnt accepted as de facto standard, so it is accentuated need for developing common language.
