Researching and evaluating teacher competences – Croatian perspective
The presentation starts with the basic assumptions related to the implementation of the competence based curriculum in the initial teacher education. A comprehensive model of competence based curriculum is described followed by the results from the study carried out with Croatian teacher students and employed teachers exploring their perception and satisfaction with acquired competences during their initial teacher education as well as the teachers’ satisfaction and perception of the competences acquired through in-service training. In conclusion recommendations are offered regarding evaluation of acquired competences using the concept of learning outcomes.
