Future of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells

Present energy system is not sustainable. Future belongs to renewable energy sources. Hydrogen complements renewable energy sources. Hydrogen role in a future energy system is as an energy storage medium and as fuel for transportation. The new energy system will be different and will have socio-economic impacts. Developing countries may make a quantum leap by adopting new energy technologies faster. Implementation of complete hydrogen systems may be easier on a smaller scale and in isolated areas such as islands. Energy planning and policing is needed on global level.
