EMPLOYEE FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION IN CROATIAN ENTERPRISES: A RECENT STUDY
This paper, based on a review of the literature, previous research and original recent research, sheds light on the incidence and characteristics of employee financial participation in Croatian enterprises. The main conclusions are that the present level of development of employee financial participation in Croatia is relatively low. Employee share ownership, which emerged during privatization, is decreasing constantly and does not have significant support. Employee stock ownership plan [ESOP] models are relatively rare and also without broader political support. The incidence of profit-sharing is negligible. Further and larger studies may provide more firm conclusions about future development of employee financial participation in Croatia.
