Stress and strain analysis of non-symmetric laminated composite plates
In the paper, by means of the classical lamination theory and the stress-strain relationships for the plane-stress state, the numerical analyses of multilayered non-symmetric composite plates are carried out. Two different types of the non-symmetric laminated plates; angle-ply and cross-ply laminates are analyzed. The analyzed laminated plates were made out of unidirectional laminae in that E-glass as reinforcement fibers and epoxy resin as matrix material was used. As examples, the stress-strain analyses of two non-symmetric four-layered plates subjected to different starting conditions have been performed and the results are presented graphically in diagrams.
