A Gateway to the European Optical Network Research

The authors report on the structure, vision and targets of the EU FP7 NoE BONE project with particular emphasis on the broadband Access Sector. One of the main areas of interest, in the telecommunication domain, today characterized by an extreme vitality in terms of research effort. The authors presents the BONE approach, based on a model able to increase the joint activities among the partners boosting the knowledge sharing and covering educational, research and industrial topics.
