Numerical Modelling of the Fracture Behaviour of Welded Joints by Considering the Crack Front Shape
The simplification of numerical modelling for the fracture behaviour of welded joint leads to differences between the experimentally and numerically obtained results. This paper shows the effects of crack front shape on the fracture behaviour of welded joints. By considering the true crack front shape it is possible to obtain better agreement between any experimental and numerical results.
