Traffic system in the light of the impending energy and ecological crisis

Since the end of the twentieth century, the global energy and ecological crises are becoming increasingly noticeable. The world reserves of primary energy sources today, fossil fuels, are being slowly depleted. The most critical situation is with the oil reserves. Uncontrolled usage of fossil fuels pollutes the atmosphere and causes global warming. The paper studies the fossil fuels from the aspect of the existing resources and influence on the global climatic changes. According to research in the world, feasible and efficient measures for reducing carbon dioxide emissions have been proposed. Special attention is paid to the measures that need to be undertaken in the traffic system with the aim of reducing the energy consumption, global pollution and impact of humans on the climatic changes.
