Mercurian tetrahedrite from the Saski Rad barite siderite veins in the Mid-Bosnian Schist Mts (MBSM)
The Saski Rad veins are south-eastern pieces of the Mačkara vein, 10 km SE of the town of Gornji Vakuf in the MBSM. In the Saski Rad vein siderite is subordinate, whereas Hg- tetrahedrite and barite are the dominant minerals. The trace elements (Cd, Ni, Cr, Se) are determinated in the crystal lattice of tetrahedrite from the Saski Rad deposit. The quantitative relation of the main elements in the studied tetrahedrite is very similar to that in tetrahedrite of Mačkara deposit approving the earlier assumption that the Saski Rad vein deposit represents the brocken part of the Mačkara ore vein. Strong negative δ34SVCDT values in the tetrahedrites of the Saski Rad and Mačkara deposits point to their origin in post-Variscan mineralisation phase.
