Prevalence of Diseases in Dogs in Veterinary Practice in Sisačko-Moslavačka County
The aim of the present study was to estimate disease frequency in dogs in the Sisak-Moslavina County, according to clinical data obtained from veterinary practices, as well as the significance of factors such as the season, breed, age and sex for disease occurrence. The data were collected in veterinary practices in the Sisak-Moslavina County during 2009 and included diagnosis, breed, sex, age and date of occurrence of clinical symptoms in 1372 dogs, (784 male and 588 female dogs). The most frequent diseases in dogs were piroplasmosis, gastroenteritis, dermatitis, otitis externa, conjunctivitis and urolithiasis.
