Sažetak
Empirical experience gained through research and improve projects that aimed to improve design procedures through utilization of CAD technology in small- and medium-sized enterprises is presented. Projects have been realized in design and development departments of the companies. Four case study projects are described and presented. Problems encountered during research projects and proposed solutions that could improve variant design in parametric environment are discussed. Turn key solutions available are usually costly so purchasing is a problem and have to be carefully planned. The presented results could yield to more productive design procedures for small- and medium-sized enterprises.
