Sažetak
The knowledge definitions and classifications in construction are numerous and contextually oriented. However, the most appropriate is the classification to the „explicit“ and the „tacit“ knowledge whose correlation has been conceptually explained by the SECI model (Nonaka, 1994). The correlation between the explicit and the tacit knowledge is the key to organisational learning effectuation. By analysing the organisational knowledge flow two related organisation forms have been recognised: the hierarchical and the heterarhical. The hierarchical form represent the stable, bureaucratic, formal organisation which can be compared to the usual mechanicistic organisation structures in construction (the functional, the divisional and the matrix one). The heterarhical forms are non-hierarchical and self-organising and can be compared to the temporary project forms in construction. Nonaka explains that the stable, formal hierarchical forms are more efficient and effective in non-focus knowledge examinations, while the self-organising heterarchical formas are more effective in reaching the „deep“ knowledge in focus examination. The positive effects of the efficiency and stability of hierarchical forms as well as the dynamics of horizontally extended intrafunctionally related forms („loosely coupled“) are generally combined. Their purpose is to reslove specific project tasks. The stated conceptualisation has been called the „hypertext“ organisation which is determined by three levels: the project level (the level of self-organising forms), the business level (the level of formal hierarchical forms) and the knowledge base level. The mentioned conceptualisation represents the theoretical base for knowledge flow analysis in project organisation forms of construction. The paper analyses the assessment and knowledge acquirement processes within the project organisation forms, the effect the project organisation form discontinuity has on the knowledge flow and the influence of the organisation structure of stable hierarchical forms on the project knowledge flow in construction.
