IMPLEMENTATION OF MODELLING AND OPTIMIZATION METHODS IN MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
Advanced manufacturing requires a powerful tool for reliable modelling and solving the complex machining optimization problems. Modelling and optimization methods and its implementation in manufacturing processes is essential techniques of continuous inovation and advancement of existing technologies, processes and systems with main purpose of increasing competitiveness in the market. A review of various conventional and latest modelling and optimization techniques with its main characteristics have been presented in this paper. The application benefits and potential of several modelling and optimization approaches with adequately examples in metal cutting and metal forming processes also have been presented. That obtained results in form of accurate models and algorithms are the major components of intelligent machining systems.
