Magnate from Slovakia and Ban of the Kingdom of Croatia-Dalmatia: Count Thomas of Svätý Jur, His Life and Activities

Count Thomas held a number of important political positions from that of the castellan of the castle of Holíč to those of ban of the Kingdom of Croatia-Dalmatia and the chief justice of the Kingdom of Hungary. Particular emphasis will be placed on his role in the turbulent period of succession crisis after the death of King Louis the Great during which he was one of the most important supporters of the Queens Mary and Elisabeth.
