Alkaline Phosphatase from Murine Myeloid Leukaemia Cells: Isolation, Purification and Biochemical Properties
In the tumour tissue of mice suffering from myeloid leukaemia the levels of alkaline phosphatase were elevated. Direct evidence is present that the undifferentiated myeloid leukaemia cells secrete alkaline phosphatase in vitro into media. Enzyme from tumour tissue was subsequently purified by solubilisation with butanol, fractionation with acetone, and affinity chromatography on concavalin A Sepharose, DEAE cellulose, Sephadex G-200 and DEAE Sephadex.
