Sažetak
The integration of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European transport network is a complex and gradual procedure. Both countries, due to the well-known war, have objectievly lost their "connection" to the European transport network. This situation has been evident especially lately in avoiding the Croatian and Bosnian and Herzegovian teritory when forming the European traffic corridors. Croatian and Bosnia and Herzegovina have geo-traffic basics of comparative advantages in connecting the north and the south of the Europe by central gro-traffic corridor with the basis on the long front of the Adriatic Sea. Compared to other countries, thisadvantage is obvious and it should be utilised with great knowledge. The needs of Europe for connections with the Near East accros Posavina (the Sava region) can be used in the promotion of the Croatian age-long tendencies to estabilish traffic corridors towards the Adriatic Sea. Croatian understanding for the European needs of the Sava region corridor should be put into context of counterbalance of the Adriatic traffic corridors for Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, as the priority Croatian and Bosnian-Herzegovian interests.
