Relationship between positive and negative symptomatology and awareness of mental disorder in schizophrenic patients
The paper deals with the relationship between positive and negative symptomatology and awareness of mental illness. The research was conducted on 10 subjects with schizophrenia. In order to assess positive and negative symptomatology we used Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Scale to Assess Unawareness of Mental Disorder (SUMD). The findings were discussed in relationship to the theoretical assumptions.
