Post rehabilitation use of some special skills (ADL, Braille, O&M( by visually impaired war invalids with/without PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder)

After the war in Croatia a population of visually impared people (war invalids) was getting larger and larger. Some special rehabiltiation programs for blind war veterans were organized duritngt their vocational training. while researching, we were aiming tofin out how pecial skills are being used (quality and quantity), years after rehabiltiation. Also, we wanted to find out if there are invalids with PTSD and if it has an influence on skills being used. Scale used during this research for assessing ADL, Braile and O and M skills wasw: "Evaluation of independent living skills for the visually imparired scale". Scales that we have used for detecting PTSD were : DSM- IV, LASC-01, USTBI_M. This paper presents geathered data from the research were sample consisted of visually imaired war invalids (n=28). Results of mentioned sample will show that these war invalids use a small part of ADL, Braill or om skills. Also, results will show that visually imapired war invalids without detected PTSD have better results in evalutation of independent living skills.
