Influence of plant growth regulant «Baronet» on growth and development of Brassica napus var. oleifera L.
Effect of plant growth regulant "Baronet" on growth and development of oil seed rape (Brassica napus var. oleifera L.) cv. 'Yet Neuf' was investigated in dose 0, 75 kg/ha/200 l water in localities Suhopolje (Slavonia) and Šašinovec near Zagreb. Application of "Baronet" was made in the phasis of 35-45 cm plant hight (I - 1st term of application) and in the phasis before beginning of bloom (II - 2nd term of application). Investigated were following combinations: D1 (I), D2 (I+II), D3 (II) and K (control. The best significant effect of "Baronet" on vegetative and generative growth and development was found on treated plants in combination D2 (I +II). Investigated plant regulant inhibits stem growth (reduce internode growth) and stimulated branchy (in bud stage). Stem of applicated plants were lower and thicksetly with stronger developed subepidermal layer and mechanical elements in vascular bundles. This way more compact and lodging resistent plants were produced. "Baronet" promoted flower initiation, blooming, fruits and seeds initiation and development, as well as uniform ripeness. At the same time significantly stimulated yield increase for 13, 20-16, 10%.
