Incidence and mortality of stomach cancer in general population and managerial population
Incidence of stomach cancer is most commonly associated with different environmental effects, bad dietary elements and detrimental habits. There is not enough evidence on the effects of stress, as a component of managerial profession, on the stomach cancer incidence. Incidence and mortality were analyzed and compared between the general population in Osijek-baranya county and the managerial population (N=685). Examination was conducted over a five-year period: 2003-2008. Average annual incidence in general population was 24, 5 and in menagerial population 24, 6. Average annual mortality in general population was 22, 8 and in menagerial population 22, 6. No statistically significant difference in incidence and mortality between the general and managerial population was established.
