Lika Cap
Lika cap is worn in the Lika region of Republic of Croatia. It is a traditional cap with a round shape and a flat red top ; the area around the side of the cap is black, often with tassels hanging down the back. Due to the rich cultural heritage attached to it, it is possible to view the Lika cap not only as a garment or an ornament but as a cultural symbol of a specific region and, through the changes and constancy of that one simple object, we may draw more far-reaching conclusions about the importance of preservation of items which are bearers of cultural legacy through time.
