Lecture and Multimedia roomes - Measurements and acoustical design

The room acoustics for lecture room and multimedia room is a complex problem that must be taken into account when designing such space. It consists of several parts. First are the analysis and calculation of acoustic parameters. After that the actual situation has to be measured, the computer simulations have to be made, and the cause of the problem has to be find. Finally, the solutions for possible problems have to be provided. In this article calculations and measuring methods and their results were analyzed and presented. Finally some suggestions for getting better conditions are given, and simulations with proposed activities, are made to find out if these suggestions resolve the problem found in the real lecture/multimedia room, where the speech intelligibility was the major problem.
