Incentives to Intrapreneurship in the Company Belupo Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Plc

The idea of intrapreneurship in Croatia is still insufficiently known, although everything present in everyday business operations, all suggestions, moves and changes have been ingrained in the idea of intrapreneurship. However, organized implementation and stimulation of innovations as the basis of intrapreneurship in companies on our market is yet expected with regard to the speed of technological changes and customers’ requirements. Thus companies provide for themselves quicker growth and development and doing this, they contribute to the improvement of the complete economic image of the country. Researches that were made for the company Belupo Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Plc., show created environment that may systematically apply the implementation of intrapreneurship. From the research it also results that the organizational structure, clearly defined mission, vision and strategy of a company, trend to a team work, openess in communications etc. constitute basic prerequisites for introduction of a program for stimulation of intrapreneurship. In relation to competitive houses, Belupo does not fail to keep pace, because in competitive pharmaceutical houses (JGL, Pliva, Lek and Krka) only the organized stimulation of innovativeness could be seen within the Pliva through the program “Click on Innovation”. It remains the case that in Croatia there is a lack of entrepreneurship knowledges and consequently in Belupo as the company that was the matter of research. There is a lack of freedom of opinion, freedom of speech and presentation of ideas, because unfortunately, there are still present the rests of socialist system and the first entrepreneurship generation have been yet in the process of development.
