HRM Function and Strategy – the Croatian Perspective
After reengineering and reorganization, managers became more aware that for company’s success, strategy and human resource management need to be associated. From 1990’s Croatian companies started reorganization and preparation for global market. Research presented in this paper shows that HR departments should be more involved in strategic planning and implementation of those plans. Results also show that HR specialists are lacking some knowledge in the field of the business economy. One question which needs more research in this field is finding out are managers and decision makers aware of the importance of HRM and HR specialists for the company and company’s competiveness.
