Radiography of bovine esophageal disorders.

Radiographic and clinical examinations of the esophagus and neck were carried out in three bovines and two calfs. The results showed disorders in the neck and thoracic part of the esophagus. Contrast radiography showed obstructions in the cervical and thoracic part of esophagus. Ruptures of the cervical part of calf’s and cow’s esophagus were caused by the owner’s improper sounding and were diagnosed by x-rays. Contrast radiography showed an ulceration of the cervical part of esophagus in one bovine.
