New model for predicting the solubility of soybean oil and fatty acids in supercritical CO2
The solubility of soybean oil and main fatty acids (linoleic, oleic, palmitic, stearic and linolenic acid) in supercritical CO2 has been determined in the pressure range of 100-300 bar and temperature range of 313-323 K. A new equation was developed for predicting the solubility of soybean oil and fatty acids in supercritical CO2 as a function of temperature and density. The accuracy of the proposed model was evaluated by calculating the average absolute relative deviation (AARD). The proposed model was very successfully employed for calculation of soybean oil and fatty acids solubility in supercritical CO2 (AARD values ranging from 0.14 to 11.45 for all extraction conditions).
