SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR LOAD ANGLE ESTIMATION USING PARKS TRANSFORMATION
Synchronous generator load angle is an angle between a rotor q-axe and a voltage phasor of a generator. This paper presents a load angle estimation method based on Parks transformation, which transforms a generator voltage phasor to a generator dq-coordinate system. The presented method estimates a load angle by measuring generator voltage and generator rotor position. Because of its simplicity, this method can be implemented on any digital system and can be executed in real-time. New and standard methods for determining a load angle are compared on a Matlab Simulink simulation model.
