Performance of self compacting concrete with different quantities of fly ash and limestone
Self compacting concrete is an innovative concrete type which requires no compaction during placement. In this paper is shown an experimental investigation of self compacting concrete with addition of fly ash and limestone. Self compacting concrete properties were tested in fresh and hardened state (compressive strength, gas permeability, chloride ion diffusion, initial capillary absorption). Different quantities of fly ash (0, 30, 40, 50 %) and limestone (0, 5 %) were varied in experiments. An analysis of getting results suggest that the addition of fly ash and limestone has a positive efeect on durability prioperties. Compressive strength values are lower with higher addition of these mineral additives.
