Hyginenic quality of raw cow's milk
In 75 samples of raw cow milk SCC was determined, combined with bacteriological tests including number of aerobic mezophilic bacteria, enterobacteria, E. coli and Staphylopcoccus aureus. According to SCC in one mililiter of milk, samples were divided in three groups: group one were samples below 100 000 SSS, group two 100 000-400 000 and group three more than 400 000. In group one was found majority of aerobic mezophilic bacteria, enterobacteria and E. coli. Number of mentioned bacteria decreased with increase of SCC, while number of S. aureus increases proportionally with SCC and had the highest value in the group three. According to given results it could be concluded that aerobic mezophilic bacteria, enterobacteria and E. coli polluted milk by external contamination (poor udder sanitation), while S. aureus as dominant contagious cause of subclinical mastitis, originates from infected mamary gland.
