Selected stages of the operation of terry fabric weaving machines
Basic features of the maintenance of terry fabric weaving machines are presented. The weaver's work load per working stages in the weaving mill is especially emphasized. Cleaning of inaccessible jacquard parts, mounting of the warp beam on the loom and tying of a new warp to the old one are described. Moreover, one of the most unsuitable body positions in machine operating is the change of weft density whereby the gears in the bottom part of the loom are replaced in squatting or kneeling position. To repair warp thread breaks, different body postures in bent or stretched position are required. According to the mentioned working stages in fabric manufacturing, relatively high body strain in machine operating in inaccessible and dangerous places can be found out. Machine operation with electronic jacquard systems for terry fabric manufacturing requires a specific technological and electronic education and practical experience.
