Effects of Organic Fertilization on Iron Content in Grapevine Leaf
For normal growth and development of plants, soil organic matter plays very important role in order to improve water-air soil ratios and resulting with better nutrient availability, especially micronutrients. The investigation was set up in northwestern Croatia, in a 10-year old vineyard, on cv. Sauvignon White, grafted on Kobber 5BB rootstock. The trial was performed according to randomize complete block design with 6 treatments (unfertilized, farmyard manure 20 t ha-1 and 40 t ha-1, peat 20 000 L ha-1 and 40 000 L ha-1, NPK 10-20-30 150 kg ha-1) in 4 repetitions. Iron content in grapevine leaf at flowering ranged from 125.25 to 157.25 mg kg-1 dry weight and at harvest from 79.00 to 94.00 mg kg-1 dry weight.
