When I started to write this paper I have been a video gaming fan and a player for a very long time, having besides the ever present interest in economy. There was a big field to research and then write in only 47 pages. Entertainment Industry makes a tremendous part of the world’s economy system and it consists of many segments. One of these segments is video game industry divided into video games and system’s designed for their playing. However, game industry as a segment is growing exponentially fast although it has a short life comparing to other segments of economy. One of the major reasons of video games growth is the rapid development of new technologies. They always pushed each other’s boundaries conquering the entertainment market. Movies and different kinds of TV shows offered various topics in which everybody found something they like. Just sitting and watching them as an observer, maybe wasn’t enough for someone. If somebody wanted to be engaged in this visual entertainment and participate in it they had video games. Entering these virtual worlds that offer stunning surroundings, different stories that could be changed and manipulated, discovering new possibilities in these viewable imaginary “realities” that offer mystery, intrigue, action and strategy always demanding creativeness and logical thinking. So if you ask me why spend so many hours on something that isn’t real, I would have to say: “It isn’t if you put it like that, but if imagined it can be a great experience.
