Ecological properties of underground waters of the interstices in relation to the Sava River

The results of ecological and faunistical investigations of interstitial un¬derground waters of sandy-gravel riverine sediments along the river Sava from 743, 4 to 652 km of its flow are exposed. Analyzing the physical and chemical parameters as well the faunal composition there were established the borders of the hyporheic biotope and mutual influence between polluted river and neighbouring phreatic interstitial waters.
