How significant is the importance of adequate control of blood pressure in elderly patients (older than 65 years)
High blood pressure in the elderly (over 65 years of life) is now recognized as insufficient therapeutic cared problem. The We analized 90 patients between 65 and 80 years who were examined in our Emergency room. The results show the increased frequency of arterial hypertension in elderly patients, more often in women.Beta blockers were most common choice in antihypertensive therapy.
